Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Felling & Processing Trees over 380mm up to 760mm 0039-33

This course is for anyone who wishes to fell and process trees over 380mm in diameter and in any situation.

Objectives:

• Be able to promote health and safety and industry good practice
• Be able to fell trees and process trees over 380mm
• Understand relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice
• Understand how to fell and process trees over 380mm
• Understand how to remove branches from felled trees using a chainsaw
• Understand how to take down hung up trees

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Chainsaw Trousers – Class 1 type A (front protection) or C (all around protection), Chainsaw Boots, Head Protection – to include head, ear and eye protection and Chainsaw Gloves

 Equipment: Chainsaw, fuel and oil, tool belt with tape, hammer & wedges, 1.6 tonne winch, compactable slings and auxiliary equipment
