Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Aerial Tree Pruning 0039-31 (formerly CS 40)

This course is for arborists needed to be trained to prune trees using the correct techniques.

Objectives:

• Be able to promote health & safety and industry good practice
• Be able to carry out aerial tree pruning
• Understand relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice
• Understand how to carry out aerial tree pruning

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Chainsaw Trousers – Class 1 type A (front protection) or C (all around protection), Chainsaw Boots, Head Protection – to include head, ear and eye protection and Chainsaw Gloves       

 Equipment: Chainsaw, fuel/oil, maintenance tools, Hand pruning tools, Harness, Climbing ropes approx 30metres, Min of 4 karabiners triple action, Adjustable strop / lanyard, 2 tape slings small – medium. All must have current LOLER certificate
