Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Felling Small Trees 0039-21 (formerly CS31)

This course is for anyone who is needing to fell and process trees up to 380mm in diameter and in any situation.  

Objectives:

• Be able to work safely
• Be able to fell and process trees up to 380mm
• Know relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice
• Know how to fell and process trees up to 380mm
• Know how to remove branches from felled trees using a chainsaw
• Know how to take down hung-up trees

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Chainsaw Trousers – Class 1 type A (front protection) or C (all around protection), Chainsaw Boots, Head Protection – to include head, ear and eye protection and Chainsaw Gloves       

Equipment: Chainsaw, fuel/oil, maintenance tools, felling lever andtimber tongs

Next course date:   14 - 16 August and 21 - 23 August 2024

Duration: 3 days - The independent assessmentis arranged after the training has been completed (on a separate day)
